The goal of this project is to develop a mouse model system for studying how mutations in the murine (mouse) IGF-1 gene might impact body size and lifespan in the mouse.
Question
As part of this project, your goals is to:
Clone the mouse IGF-1 gene. You will need to discover how to isolate the IGF-1 gene from a mouse and place the gene into a vector for further analysis and use. Remember, you need to isolate the gene, not the mRNA/cDNA
